Carly Eilert
I began my real estate career in 2012 in Hutchinson, KS. Prior to my career change, I owned my own business as a cosmetologist. Although I had a successful seven year run, I began to feel unfulfilled. I decided to get my real estate license and eventually realized that my career in cosmetology actually prepared me for real estate. I’ve always been a “people person,” but I learned quickly how to ask the right questions to understand their goal. Great communication is also vitally important when working with buyer’s and seller’s. My clients appreciate that I’m easy to get a hold of and that I’m present throughout the entire process. I love that real estate gives me the opportunity to meet and work closely with new people all the time and it’s rewarding to be able to share in such an important chapter in their lives.
Another passion of mine has been giving back to the Childhood Cancer community. In 2015, I lost my 3 1/2 year old daughter, Ally, to Leukemia. It happened just a year and half after moving to Salina. We experienced first-hand the generosity of the people here. They made us feel loved, taken care of, and never alone. This is when I knew Salina would be home for our family. After losing Ally, I dedicated several years to the Childhood Cancer community with a local event we created, “Pinwheels for Ally Gala & Golf.” Thanks to the generous community of Salina, along with our friends and family outside of Salina, we raised over $200,000 while increasing awareness for this heartbreaking disease. The impact this event and Ally’s memory has on the community will always hold a special place in my heart, and I hope to find other ways to give back in the future.
Since losing Ally, my husband Brian and I have been blessed with three more children, Brady, Cohen, and finally another little girl, Parker. I appreciate the freedom this business gives me to be present with them. We enjoy spending time with their grandparents and hanging out with the many kids and friends in our south Salina neighborhood!
